How To Create A Gorgeous and Functional Entryway For Your Home
Many people think that it is impossible for them to create a personalized and homey ambiance for their house for rent. Lots of renters tend to shell out money on furniture and other appliances in order to make their houses look as gorgeous as possible. Sadly, they are forgetting one little but very beneficial part of their home– the entryway.
As they say, first impressions last. This is why you have to ensure that your entryway will be as welcoming and as gorgeous as possible. Your entryway will be the very first thing that your guest will see so you have to make sure that you will stamp your personal brand in this part of your home.
With that in mind, here are some ways on how to create a gorgeous and functional entryway for your rented home.
Play with mirrors.
Hanging a mirror in your entryway is highly recommended since we all usually check how we look before we head out the door. In addition to that, mirrors can also make the entryway a whole lot bigger than it really is. For maximized functionality, it is recommended that you opt for a mirror and shelf combo.
Create a shoe station.
We all know that our shoes are the cherry on top of our outfits and we usually wear them before we head out the door. However, no one wants to leave behind or trip over the shoes in our entryway. The perfect solution for this is to create a shoe station in the entryway of your home. If you wish to display your shoes, you can opt for open cabinets.
Adorn walls with coat hooks.
If you wish to make your entryway as organized as possible, one of the best items that you can ever use are coat hooks. These items are very useful and versatile as these can boost the beauty of your home as well as provide you a place where you can hang your coat, keys or purse. For best results, it is recommended that you establish a fun and unique coat hook system.
Accessorize with wall arts.
After finding a way on how you can make your entryway as functional and organized as possible, the next step that you should take is to add some oomph into it and find a way to take what was an eyesore into an eye catcher. Since the entryway does not give you too much space to work with, your best option is to just simply use your walls. The best way to do this is to hang wall arts or play with patterns that match your personality.
It is true that designing houses for rent is not an easy feat but it becomes a lot easier when you just simply focus on the entryway of your home. With the tips given above, you can be able to wow your guests and put your personal stamp in your home.

We have a shoe area when you first walk into the house. It makes life easier that way.
Entryways can make or break a statement on your house. I love the unique ideas that you’ve posted here!
The shoe station is a great idea. I have an apt. so no ‘entryway’ per say, but my shoes tend to be everywhere, lol.
I am working on our entryway. We have a lot of space and I am trying to pick all the right artwork and I definitely want a bench for taking off/putting on shoes.
I need a shoe station like that one. Great tips!
These are great ideas! I especially like the shoe organization concept… our shoes are ALL over the place in our entryway.
Very creative ideas and useful too! Like the thoughtfulness of those first impressions.
These are great ideas. I am thinking of putting up a shoe station near the entryway and that one is perfect.
I definitely need to add a shoe station in my home, especially when we don’t allow shoes. My favorite has to be the art/pictures! Definitely going to try that out in my entryway.
I always love it when I walk into a home that has a gorgeous entrance way!!!! First impressions are the most important 😉

Having organization is key to making your house feel organized and decluttered. Love the idea of the shoe organization wall.
These are nice ideas. I’ve been thinking about redecorating for a long time now.
My NYC apartment is like a shoe box! Tiny ‘entryway’ but if it were big enough I wish I could create a shoe AND handbag station! 🙂
i love minimalist design. We’re still saving our money to do a room makeover. Hopefully soon! I love the shoe rack!

I love the idea of a shoe station! I’d probably need one in my bedroom closet as well with all of the shoes that I have accumulated.
The shoe station is the best idea! I love that it is much like shelves so air flows freely and the shoes do not smell moldy or whatever. It is also easier to find the pair you’d want to wear for the day.
These are some great ideas! I love to have a shoe station because my kids shoes are never together.
I love the idea of having a shoe station by the door. Next house we buy will have a mud room so that we can leave our shoes by the door. It will save us the hassle of searching for our shoes.
I love wall art. If I could help it, I would put it in every room. I feel it really picks up a space. There’s such cool ideas on pinterest.
A show station is a must. With an air freshener. Hey, I have all boys. I know what I’m talking about on this one. LOL!
I love the wall art idea. I think photos can capture so many moments and memories and having those displayed in your home in unique ways is so much fun!
You have such good ideas gere. Small doesn’t have to mean lacking personality.
Great tips you have here … I love that shoe station and thanks for sharing.
Our entryway in our new place leads directly into our living room/dining room, I’m trying to get creative with the space we have there but it’s just so open… LOL. I love some of these ideas and may have to get crafty to make them work for our home!
