Clean the cabinets with vacuum.
Use the vacuum’s brush attachment to easily pick up dust and dirt inside your cabinet. You can clean the outside part with a cloth dampened with warm water and light cleaning agent or soap.
Use dishwasher to clean light fixtures.
You can run removable glass pieces (domes) through the dishwasher. Run it at drying cycle too to reduce spotting.
Use old pillowcase to dust-off the ceiling fan.
Slip an old pillowcase over ceiling fan blades one at a time, then wipe. With this technique, the dust falls straight inside the pillowcase saving your floor and furniture from being covered with dust and dirt.
Use old socks to clean blinds.
Put an old sock at one hand and spritz it with water. Gently grip each and every panel of the blind (using the hand covered with old sock) and slide from top to bottom. This can effectively remove dust from both sides of the blinds at once.
Clean popcorn ceiling with paint roller.
Roll a damp paint roller at the ceiling to pick up dust and cobwebs. This is a safer and easier way to clean popcorn ceiling without knocking it down to pieces.
Use lemon oil and vinegar mixture to clean woodwork and furniture.
Mix 1 part lemon oil and 1 part white vinegar to create a cleaning solution for woodwork. This can effectively remove dust and dirt buildup while leaving it with a shiny fresh look.
Remove dirt and odor from your dishwasher with vinegar and baking soda.
Put 1 cup baking soda at the bottom of your empty dishwasher. Let it sit for 12 hours. Run the hottest cycle using vinegar to clean and deodorize the dishwasher. This can effectively remove dirt and eliminate odors.
